Mercury Machine will be starting the new year with their first ever gig in Sheffield! We’ll be playing The Royal Standard Pub on Friday 11th January 2019 7pm , alongside some of the UK’s best upcoming musical talent: You Want Fox , described by I’m Not From London Records as a punk-rock post hop-pop grunge band girls want to be and boys want to be in; Two Of Substance , an alternative Rock Band based in Runcorn who cite Kurt Cobain and Dave Grohl among their influences; and Bodach , who describe themselves as a two piece 432hz durge worship from Rotherham. Come along and help us kick off 2019 in style!
Long before a certain Dalton Harris / James Arthur duet, Lee Maguire of Mercury Machine had created his version of the Frankie Goes to Holywood original, The Power of Love. The X factor winner may have beaten Lee to the release, but if you don’t like X Factor (or even if you do) and you like your 80s Christmas ballad covers a little on the darker side, then fear not, Mercury Machine’s Power of Love is out now! Have yourself a dark and synthy Christmas Machine heads!
Mercury Machine will follow up their recent single release, with a slot at the regular Untamed! event at Manchester’s home of alternative music, Rebellion. They will be joined by the unapologetically charismatic Stand Alone, the awesome metalcore quintet Portrayal of Ruinn, the exceptionally heavy Oceanis, and the progressive metalcore male / female vocal combo Syntropy. Doors open at 7pm, with Mercury Machine kicking things off, so get down early! Tickets £3 on the door.
Mercury Machine have been busy working on the upcoming release of their new single ‘Age of the Machine’, which will be available on iTunes on 16th November! If you can’t wait that long to hear it, head over to YouTube where you can watch a very special video, created by our good friend and long term collaborator Liam Hitchen (with special thanks to Arcade Club, One Adventure and boxheadcraft.com). It will make you want to get in your loft and dust off your VCR!
